This year’s Spanish Wine Fair, FENAVIN, opens its doors in Ciudad Real today. It is a touchstone for the wine sector in Spain: an amount of 1,361 wineries and cooperatives from across the country gather at this event aiming to present their products and contact customers and distributors.

During the last fair, held in 2013, a total of 1,214 wineries took part at FENAVIN. More than three thousand buyers coming from 58 countries attended the fair in order to establish an amount of 166,769 trade contacts. These figures are expected to increase this year.

As it couldn’t be otherwise, Dehesa del Carrizal will be present at FENAVIN to present the new vintages of our wines: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, MV, Colección Privada and Petit Verdot. This year we are located at ENEO Pavilion, aisle 3, stand 5. For us, FENAVIN is an essential meeting due to several reasons: we have the opportunity to introduce ourselves to new customers and, in addition to that, we are a winery from Ciudad Real. Therefore, we feel at home at FENAVIN and it is our pleasure to contact new clients and buyers in order to explain how we produce our wines and why we are one of the few Spanish wineries with Vino de Pago in the market.

A Vino de Pago is the highest category within the wine law. It is a Protected Designation of Origin restricted to only 15 Spanish wineries. “In harmony with the land” is our slogan, and it is not by chance: the wines from Dehesa del Carrizal express a deep respect for the land and their production is based upon responsible oenology. Our wines convey a particular terroir and a special way of working the grape, not only in the vineyard but also in the winery.
