The new vintage of our Petit Verdot is now ready. After the successful Petit Verdot 2010 (Grand Gold Bacchus 2014 , Spanish Food Award ‘Alimentos de España to the best wine 2014’), there was a great excitement about discovering the new vintage of this wine. Even more when in 2011 we decided not to launch it in the market as such, since the harvest of this variety was small and it was used to produce our blended wines (MV and Colección Privada).

Consequently, Petit Verdot 2012 is a long-awaited wine. Well, it is already in the market and we believe good wine lovers will not be disappointed with the result.

Petit Verdot 2012 has been aging for 15 months, half of the barrels were new. As the 2010 vintage, it is a powerful wine, although more elegant. Despite its aromatic profile still being dominated by mineral notes such as graphite, the new vintage also stands out for its aromas of berries, such as blueberries, as well as coffee and leather. Altogether it presents a unique nose, candied and complex.

In the mouth it offers a remarkable tannin structure, as the 2010 vintage but somehow softer and more delicate.

Will this Petit Verdot 2012 be better than the multi-awarded 2010 vintage? There is only one way to know... trying it!
