More and more Asian consumers want higher quality. This is the reason why our wines are really taken off on this continent
As we have already shown you, firstly through our social networks (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), we are still bringing our wines to Asia, due to the big demand and the good acceptance that they are having in this continent.
Regarding that, we have recently finished a promotional week about our wines in Japan, which turned out to be a very gratifying and productive experience. This is because Japan is currently a mature market, when refering to oenology, with knowledhge, wine culture and a desire to know and taste new wines. After these days in the country, we confirmed that Dehesa del Carrizal wines, taking into account their uniqueness, are a perfect accompaniment for their regional food, so much so that even a one Michelin star restaurant, the Ciet Et Sol from Tokio, is already incorporating our wines into their menus.
Besides Ciet Et Sol, we also visited other restaurants in Tokio, like Spainclub Ginza, Spainclub ALA, Spain Iberico Bar “Mon-Naka” and Arroceria Sal & Amor.
For the Asian quality wines are becoming more and more sought-after. In the last years they have experienced a pleasant surprise due to a significant increase in the quality of Spanish wines arriving there. Therefore, they currently demand high quality and are willing to pay for it. Taking into account our range of wines, the ones that are getting a better results in Asia are Syrah, Petit Verdot and Chardonnay.
Furthermore, we are not just working in Japan, nowadays we are carrying out different projects all around Asia. In this sense, we are still supporting our current importers in Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. Also, we are participating in a wide range of wine fairs in China and Hong Kong, trying to increase our presence in this market.
Throughout 2017 we expect to visit China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea.
